Celebrate with Disney World

Disney World is celebrating their 50th Anniversary! We have learned some of the details of the great celebration, and we’re so excited to share them with you today. Some of the events include nighttime spectaculars at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and Epcot! There will also be some new daytime shows at Animal Kingdom, and 50 golden statues depicting Disney’s characters throughout all four parks.

This is a celebration at Disney World is one that you don’t want to miss out on. Today we’ll review some of what you can expect when you visit the park during this time. The 50th Anniversary is to begin October 1st 2021 and last for 18 months.

The Celebration Begins in October

This is an 18 month celebration starting October 1st 2021, why this date? This is because it marks the day that the park opened 50 years ago in 1971. Marking this important date is the nighttime show called “Disney Enchantment,” which will take place at the Magic Kingdom. This show will feature fireworks and projection effects that will go from Cinderella’s Castle down Main Street.

In Epcot, the show “Harmonious” will take place at the World Showcase Lagoon. Along with this show Disney has also announced that also on October 1st, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be added to the France pavilion.

The Animal Kingdom will also be a place you’ll need to visit during the 50th celebration. Here you can see the daytime show “Disney KiteTails.” Which will be presented multiple times per day. This show will include performers with wind catchers on land and feature stunning kites that will depict Simba, Zazu and King Louie on the water.

Disney’s Golden Statues

The golden statues will be places throughout the four parks and will depict 50 different characters. Guests will be able to interact with them in surprising ways, according to Disney. Some of the characters will have on stunning new costumes that will shimmer! Very much like the pervious costumes that Micky and Minnie wore in the past. The Magic Kingdom’s visitors will see these new costumes and golden statues on October 1st 2021 and we cannot wait to see it.

Guests will also be able to see the nighttime show, “Happily Ever After” at the Magic Kingdom and at Epcot they can see “Epcot Forever,” starting July 1st. This marks the first time that fireworks shows have taken place since the start of the pandemic.
